A compact former in two configurations: conventional platens for shallow-draw foam and light-gauge sheet, or a platenless rigid setup with a 5-inch draw.

The foam configuration uses a conventional platen set for mold mounting and is intended for 2.5-inch draw foam or light-gauge solid-sheet products.
The rigid configuration removes the platens and connects the former rod ends directly to the mold, allowing a deeper 5-inch product in a compact frame. Molds for this setup carry innovations in evacuation, clamping and cooling for unusually fast forming speeds.
